FRAMING PHOTOS
Our approach is to keep things simple.
When it comes to framing photography, clean lines work best, so we recommend:
White and off-white mats.
8 ply bevels to add an elegant touch especially with a narrow frame.
A narrow frame needs to be deep enough for a wood strainer support.
Plexiglass over glass – except for Tru-Vue Museum glass to protect against UV light and reduce glare. And of course, Optium Museum Acrylic, the gold standard in custom framing.
When a photograph is framed properly, the frame will not only complement the image but will also preserve it for decades to come.
An old sailing sloop in a 2" wide reeded frame hangs behind the model of a utility boat.
A classic 3/4" wide by 1 1/2" deep dark walnut frame surrounds this vintage print.
A pair of small format photographs in narrow cherry and white gold leaf frames.
Tarnished silver leaf step frames for mid-century photographs.
